How to Contact Other Members

There are three ways to contact other members. You need to log on to your membership account using your email access which needs to be confirmed and/or verified before you can contact other members.

Sending a Smiley:

It's free to send a Smiley and all profiles have the Send a Smiley button, but to use this free option you need to have an approved profile. When you click on the Send a Smiley button, it will send the member a message letting them know you are interested in contacting them, and it includes a link to your profile. It's free to send a Smiley, but the male member will need to subscribe in order to reply.

How to send a message Sending replies to message senders Note - Until you confirm your e-mail address :
  • You cannot contact other members.
  • Existing Members cannot contact you.
  • Your profile will not appear online or be posted in FilipinaSplendor.

Block a member

If you would like to block a member from sending you messages or if a member has sent you rude or offensive message(s), we advise you to use the BLOCK SENDER function on your contact option so you will not receive further communication from them.

We do encourage all members to treat each other with respect and in a friendly fashion. The vast majority of our members are seeking quality and harmonious friendships or relationships.

I got an error that says I cannot send messages to other members?

If you have are having problems sending messages to other members, it usually means either you haven't been confirmed as a member or those to whom you are/have been sending messages to have blocked your messages. However if both of this events do not apply to you, we advise you to email the administrator at admin@filipinasplendor.com, with your error message as the email subject.

Where do I find my messages?

Smiley

Smiley is a way of getting other members you're interested in to take a look at your profile. It's free to send a Smiley and all profiles have the Send a Smiley button under their profile photo, but to use this free option you need to have an approved profile.

Men:

When you have found the profile you want to contact, you click on the Send a Smiley button, it will send the member a message letting them know you are interested in contacting them, and it includes a link to your profile. The member can then click on the link to view your profile.

If they are interested, they may send a return message to you. However, if you want to send a message back to the women, you have to subscribe to a Full Membership to continue communicating with the women. With a Full Membership, you have full access to all the features of FilipinaSplendor.

Women:

When you have found the profile you want to contact, you click on the Send a Smiley button, it will send the member a message letting them know you are interested in contacting them, and it includes a link to your profile. The men can then click on the link to view your profile. If they are interested, they will need to to subscribe to FilipinaSplendor and become a Paying member to continue communicating with you.

Smiley profile link doesn't work?

The profile link from the Smiley message may not be working as the member has either suspended their profile or are currently updating it. It's worth trying again in a short while. Alternatively, in the event there is a problem with the link, try entering the Username of the member that sent you the Smiley in the Search page on the site. It will show you if the profile is available, and if it is, you can contact the member from here.

How do I reply to a Smiley?

When you receive a Smiley, the Men and Women of Filipina Splendor has different options:

Men:

You need to subscribe to FilipinaSplendor and become a Full Member to continue communicating with the women. If you are already a Full Member, just click on the "Reply" or "Send Message" button to communicate with the women.

To purchase a subscription, please go to the Subscription page.

Women:

You can reply or send messages to any member you want to contact, just click on the "Reply" or "Send Message" button to communicate with them.

Login

You can search for profiles on the site without logging in, but if you want to update your membership or profile; contact a member or check My Contacts, you will need to login to your membership account. Logging in also updates the 'Last visited' date on your profile, allowing your profile have higher priority in search results. For trouble free login, please ensure you have your Cookies enabled. The latest browsers automatically have the correct settings. For more information, click on the Help function on your browser to check your settings.

Firstly, ensure that you are using the correct Username and Password

If you are not sure of your Username and Password:

• Click on the 'Forgot my password?' link under the Member Login box.
• Enter the email address you used when you created your membership account.
• Click on the Submit button.


Your Username and Password for this site will be sent to the email address you've used after a few minutes.

Still can't log in?

Please ensure that your Browser settings are correct.

• In your Browser window, go to Tools then Internet Options; we recommend you reset the default vales of your browser so you can logon to your membership account.
• Click on the Security tab; click Default Level to set this to Medium, click Apply to save the changes.
• Next click on the Privacy tab, click Default and then Apply.
• Click on 'OK' to close the window.

Forgot your Username or Password?

If you have forgotten your login details such as your password, enter your membership email address by following the 'Forgot my password?' link under the Member Login box and then your login details will be sent to you in a few minutes.

Why do I have to keep logging back into my membership all the time?

This web site requires you have cookies enabled on your browser. Please check that your browser COOKIES are enabled. Under Subscription you can have unlimited contact/connection to as many members as you like. So members receive uninterrupted access to this service, all Credit Card purchases are Auto-renewable, however, you can switch your Auto-renewal off at any time without losing any of your subscription. Subscription comes in a variety of packages; you can purchase a Subscription for one month, three months, six months and one year at a time. The longer time frame you purchase, the lower the cost per month. Subscription can be purchased online via our secure online credit card payment system, or via any of the alternative payment methods. Problems with your subscription/account?

Purchases via our online credit card payment system are processed immediately, and your purchase of a Subscription will be available within a few minutes. Your purchase will be displayed on the Subscribe page along with the days remaining on your purchase.
If for some reason you have a receipt, but the Subscription option are not appearing in your account, please forward the receipt, and include your Member ID and contact details to payments@filipinasplendor.com

What is subscription/auto renewal?

When you purchase a Subscription option with a credit card, you will be auto-renewed at the pro-rata monthly rate. For the latest rates go to the Subscribe page or click here for details. Auto renewal ensures continuous and uninterrupted access to your Subscription or Maximum Contact packages. To switch your Auto-renewal off at any time without losing any of your purchase, click on the "Subscribe" or "Subscribe now" links on the Home page and change the renewal status in the "Subscription details" or "Maximum Contact details" area. You cannot disable this function two days before expiry date as the auto renewal link is removed while the auto renewal purchase is going through our secure financial e-commerce gateway.

How do I turn auto renewal OFF?....on hold....

Note: by turning auto renewal off, you will not be charged for this service on your next billing date. You will continue to have access to this service through the end of your current billing term, at which point this paid service will be discontinued. You can turn auto renewal off at any time as follows:

• Click on the "Subscribe" or "Subscribe now" links on the Home page.
• Find the "Subscription details" or "Maximum Contact details" area near the top of the page.
• In the "Billing status" section, verify whether auto renewal is "ON" or "OFF".
• If auto renewal is "OFF", no need to do anything as auto renewal is already off.
• If auto renewal is "ON", click on the "Change auto renewal status" link.
• Click on the "Yes" button.

Note: If you currently have a subscription package, suspending your profile will not terminate your subscription. To review your subscription information, click here.

Refund Policy

As clearly stated on the Subscription page when you purchase your subscription, we regret that we cannot refund subscriptions, nor can they be transferred or suspended.

Please note: If you delete your membership, you will permanently cancel all subscription you have purchased.

I got an error when I tried to purchase?

We use a secure financial e-commerce gateway (VeriSign), so if you are receiving error messages when you are trying to purchase, you need to contact your bank to see if your Credit Card is allowed to make international purchases and internet purchases, as some credit cards do not have this allowance.

Creating and Managing your Profile

My Profile

It's free to create a profile, which is how other members find out about you. You do not
need a profile to contact other members, however, this is the only way they will be able to find out about you. The link to manage your profile appears near the top of the page including Upload Photo and Profile Preview (so you can see how your profile looks online).

• Profile status: This page shows your profile status, whether you are for waiting approval; if it is active and visible online; not approved or suspended; with a brief explanation on what the status means.

• Create my profile: Takes you through the steps of Profile creation. All profiles are manually approved for appropriate content, generally within 48 hours.

• Modify profile: You can update your profile here at anytime, however, all updates will need to be approved for appropriate content again, generally within 48 hours.

• Preview my profile : Once you've created a profile, you can see how it would look on the site.

• Upload photo: Allows you to add a photo to your profile. Make sure it is in a photo file format such as .JPEG, .JPG or .GIF, and is no bigger than 500kb in size for each picture with a maximum of 5 pictures. When you upload a photo, it has to be approved for appropriate content again, generally within 48 hours.

• Remove your photo: This link removes your photo; you will need to wait up to 12 hours for your profile to be updated after photo removal.

• Suspend profile: You can suspend your profile at any time if you choose; your profile will no longer be visible on the site, but you can reactivate it at any time.

Once your profile is approved, you will be sent an email confirmation that your membership has been approved. You need to do this by clicking on the link provided, you will not be able to contact members and members will not be able to contact you until there has been a confirmation.

Creating a Profile

It's free, and easy to create a profile by going to Home Page, clicking on Sign-up, and completing the five pages.

• Currently we support English. You must complete your entire profile in this language to be approved.

• There are three pages of multiple-choice questions, which you need to complete in order to continue onto the next page. These questions allow you to select your age, marital status, appearance, background, your interests and the type of relationship you are seeking. These multiple-choice questions are compulsory as they determine how your profile is searched online.

• On the fourth page you will find three description boxes where you can write about yourself, add more detail on what you look like and who you would like to meet.

General: Begin by describing who you are, your personality and how you spend your time. You may want to write about your interests or hobbies, your work, family or friends, your travels and where you grew up. You need to fill in at least 4 lines, and you can write as much as 20 lines. Please do not add repeated words or letters as profiles will not be approved if you do not include enough information.

Profile Approval

All profiles and photos are manually approved for appropriate content. Our Profile Approval Policy is designed to ensure only quality profiles with appropriate content appear on our Site and the site's database, ensuring the safety and security of all members. You must complete your profile in English. Any profiles containing other languages will not be approved. You can modify or update your profile as often as you wish, however, if you change your Username, update your photograph or change any of your descriptions, your profile will automatically go through profile approval.

If you remove a photograph or change any of the Multiple-choice questions, your profile will remain online, as it does not need to go through profile approval. All profiles will undergo approval within 48 hours, and you will receive an e-mail to confirm the status of your profile.

Why is a profile not available?

Our membership base is very active and dynamic. Profiles may not be available for several reasons. If the member has not confirmed their email address. Or, if the member is currently updating their profile, it will need to be approved before it becomes active and posted again, generally within 48 hours. Members also have the option to Suspend their profile, perhaps because they want some time out, or could be away for a period of time. Profiles 'not available' will feature a message indicating the status of the profile. Try again in the next few days.

Trouble adding a photo to your profile?

To add a photo to your profile, log in, and click on the "Upload now" link found in the "My profile" box. Click on this link, and follow the prompts to add your photo.

Make sure that the size of the photo is no more than 500kb, and the file format is .jpeg, .jpg or .gif otherwise it will not be uploaded, you can only upload a maximum of 5 pictures. It may take a few minutes for your photo to upload, and you will receive a message saying that photo has been successfully uploaded. Your photo will need to be processed for appropriate content, so please ensure that your photo does not contain sexual reference or nudity. Cartoons and illustrations are not permitted. Try your local internet cafe if you do not have access to scanning facilities.

When will my profile be approved?

All profiles are manually approved for appropriate content, generally within 48 hours. Once your profile has been approved, you will receive a confirmation email indicating that your profile has been approved or is active. This email will contain a link to confirm your membership. You need to click on this link and it will redirect you to the site and automatically update your profile as "Active and posted" on the site.

Why was my profile rejected?

Our site has strict guidelines for appropriate content. Our Profile Approval Policy is designed to regulate the content of profiles to ensure a global quality environment of appropriate content, language and intent for the safety and security of all members. Found a suspicious profile?

We encourage all members to be honest and truthful in their profiles, and we take a number of steps to ensure that profiles are authentic, including the verification of email addresses, and manually approving profiles for appropriate content and photos. However, we cannot verify the content or accuracy of every profile. If you find a suspicious profile, perhaps containing a celebrity photo or otherwise, please contact us with the details of the suspect profile, including the User Name and Member ID.

We will verify this profile, and if proven not authentic, site administrator will delete the profile from our database.

What is Appropriate Content?

Our Profile Approval Policy is designed to regulate the content of profiles to ensure a quality global environment of appropriate content, language and intent for the safety and security of all members.

Profiles will not be approved if they contain:

• Inappropriate language in your Username.
• Personal contact information, such as telephone numbers, email address or ICQ or contact address.
• Sexually explicit language or sexual references/innuendo.
• Defamatory, abusive, aggressive or violent content.
• Offensive or obscene language (including swear words).
• Racially offensive or blasphemous terminology.
• Sexually suggestive or nudity in the photo.
• Infringes or violates intellectual property rights - such as a photo of a celebrity.
• Where the photo is a cartoon, illustration, animal, scenery or object of anything other than yourself.
• This photo needs to be a picture of you aged 18+, we cannot approve photos of minors.
• Promotes a third party entity.
• Insufficient or illegible content.
• Where the profile language is not completed in the language selected on the profile creation page.

Can someone else use my email address for membership?

To protect your privacy, we do not allow members to join using the same email address of another member. To get your own free email account, we recommend you go to your favorite mail client and register for a free email account that can be accessed over the internet from any computer.

How do I update my membership?

The My membership link is located on your Home page and allows you to update your member details, including your Username, Password, e-mail address, as well as the site services such as Newsletters, and Smileys options. Update the areas as required and click on the Submit button to save your new details.

How can I delete my Membership?

To delete your membership:
• Go to Filipinasplendor.com (you need to log onto the site where your membership is held).
• Click on the My membership link;
• Scroll to the bottom where it reads "Delete my membership" and click on this button. This will take you to the Delete Membership page where you choose a reason for deleting your membership;
• Choose your reason and click on the "Yes" button.

NOTE: By deleting your membership, your profile, membership information and all site emails will be cancelled. Any remaining subscription in your account will also be deleted and cannot be retrieved. Thank you for being part of our global online network.

How do I change my Username, Password or Email Address?

To change your username, password or email address you need to:
a. Login to the site.
b. From the Home page click on the My membership link.
c. Update your personal details.
d. After updating your details please ensure you click on the Save changes button.
If you have changed your email address, a confirmation email will be sent to your new email address.

Please click on the link in the email to confirm that your new email address is correct.

If you have changed your username and have an active profile you will need to have your username re- approved, as it will be displayed on your profile. It will be approved for appropriate content, generally within 48 hours. Once your profile has been approved, you will receive a confirmation email indicating that your profile is active.

Confirming your email address

When you register as a member, or change your email address, you will receive a notification email that contains a link so you can confirm your email address. Please open this email and click on the EMAIL CONFIRMATION LINK ("Click here") to correctly activate your profile. This will redirect you to the site and automatically update your profile as "Active and Visible" on the site. To check whether your email address is confirmed, please logon onto your membership and check directly under your Username. if your email address is not confirmed there will be a message in red stating: Unconfirmed e-mail address If you see this message you will need to click on the link in the Confirmation Email you received. If you have not received this email you will see "- to resend the confirmation email, click here", please click on that link and have the Confirmation Email resent to you.

Then please go to My Profile page and click on My membership link and check that your email address is correct. Change your email address if it is not correct and your new details will be sent to you along with another Confirmation Email. If you do not receive this email again, firstly check you do not have your Junk Mail settings too high and our email is being sent to your Junk Mail instead of your inbox.

My Connections

My Connections

My Connections help you keep a record of both the members that you're interested in, and those you have sent Smileys to. If you find a member you would like to contact later while you are searching, all you do is click on the "Add to Connections" link on their profile, and they will be added to your "My Connections" list. The maximum amount of profiles you can save on your Connections list is 50. To add any more to the list despite the maximum number of connections on the list, you first need to delete some profiles, and then proceed. Only the last three profiles added to My Connections are displayed, to see more you need to click on the "more" link at the bottom of the page. When you're ready to contact them, click on the icon or 'View members profile' icon beside the members details.

What does 'Last visited' mean?

Search

You can Search for profiles on our database with or without being logged in, but if you want to add a profile to My Connections, send a Smiley or Contact a member, you need to log in.

There are three ways to search for members:

Easy search: This lets you search by gender, age, Country, State and nearest City and provides the widest possible search results. The Easy search function also allows you to view profiles with or without a photo.

• Advanced Search: Narrows down your search results, to include the type of relationship you are seeking, race, religion, height, body type, marital status and whether they have a photo; be careful not to be too specific as it may result in no matches.

The Search criteria you choose and the Search results you get from the criteria cannot be saved. This is because we have a very active and dynamic Membership. Search results are prioritized by both member activity and those that have photos so the search results change constantly.
